19th Annual Statewide MIWSAC Restoring the Sacred Trails of Our Grandmothers Conference
The theme for our 2026 conference is Growing Our Garden to End Sexual Violence.
This year’s Annual Conference will be from April 21-23, 2026, at Fond du Lac’s Black Bear Casino, 1785 MN Hwy 210, Carlton, MN. 55718.
A garden has many phases necessary for growth- selecting the location, tilling the land, planting the seeds, fertilizing, nurturing and watering the plants, weeding, harvesting, and of course sharing the bounty! The same “phases” could be applied to ending sexual violence.
This is a free, annual conference open to all!
We seek workshops that both demonstrate and call attention to the many ways we can uplift our individual and collective voices to end sexual violence in our communities.
We welcome workshops that integrate both knowledge and action into culturally meaningful tools that Advocates, Survivors, Service Providers, Practitioners and our Community can use to end sexual violence.
This is an annual collaborative effort of the Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition and Men As Peacemakers. This year’s conference is also in partnership with Mending the Sacred Hoop and Fond du Lac Advocacy Services. The conference also includes a Self-Care Carnival and Pow-wow.
